You may submit any of the following to xiv lines.

  1. A poem of yours to be posted in the Poetry Showcase.
    Your poem will be posted to the Poetry Showcase. There is no critique or analysis. If you think necessary, you may include comments about your poem. If your poem is from a published book or collection, include the title if appropriate and where the book or collection can be purchased.
  2. A poem of yours to be posted for full critique and analysis.
    We will complete a critique and full metrical analysis of your poem.
  3. A critique and analysis of any poem.
    You may wish to critique and analyze a poem of your choice. This type of submission should be at least 1000 words and include scansion of verses.
  4. An article on any topic relating to poetry.
    You may write an article on any topic you find of interest relating to poetry. This submission should be at least 1500 words.
  5. An article about another writer’s work (poetry, essay or play).
    This type of submission should be at least 2000 words.
  6. A snippet about another writer’s work (poetry, essay or play).
    A snippet is a shorter article that may be of interest and should be at least 500 words.
  7. A letter to the editor.
    Letters to the editor may be submitted about any post. Please be polite.

Please note that the editor is at liberty to reject your submission but will give reasons why and how it may be improved to satisfy our guidelines.
(Articles must be no longer than 5000 words.)
